About the School...
The Ballet School – Upminster has a proud history in the community and was established over 50 years ago by Mrs Mercia House LRAD ARAD. Her daughter Miss Lynette, began Tap classes at the school in 1986, and subsequently the name of the school changed to The Upminster School of Dance.
In September 2008 Mrs House retired and Sarah Sales BA (Hons) LRAD took over the running of the school.
Last year the school opened a very successful over subscribed ballet club at Engayne Primary School, and also provides Street Jazz teachers for other state schools in the borough.
The school produces a biannual show which every pupil is invited to participate in.
The fully qualified teachers at the Upminster School of dance provide a nurturing, friendly environment for all students to learn and explore dance. All teachers encourage students and can see the potential in all!
