Ballet Teacher Alex Turner There are many aspects of teaching that I love but my main ethos is instilling my students with inspiration and confidence to carry throughout their life as they develop into young adults. I have always had a passion for Dance which began when I started attending ballet classes & exams, following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. My passion continued through school studying GCSE and A-Level Dance, which provided my connection with English National Ballet to then gaining a place within their youth company. I passed with a 2:1 from Roehampton University studying their Bachelor of Arts in Dance. After graduating I worked with DanceWest and ENB on their outreach programmes to local schools in West and East London. After exploring the different avenues within the Dance world I was drawn to teaching. I began my teaching journey at Pleasing School of Dance based in North London, which is where I embarked on gaining my RAD teaching qualification- Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. The atmosphere I create for my students is welcoming and full of positivity. My aim as a teacher is to have an atmosphere where creativity is encouraged, allowing students to flourish with confidence as ballet dancers and individuals.
